Newspaper Rock is located on the road going to the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. The sandstone formation has one of the largest known collection of Petroglyphs. It is believed that the oldest drawings are up to 2,000 years old. Native Americans passed through the area and added to the collection over the years.
